Dorcas Jean Rader Hamblin Loezius, 80, of Plant City, Florida, was called home to be with her Lord, Sunday, March 22, 2015 after a brief illness.

Jean was born August 16, 1934 in Bedford County, the daughter of William Henry Rader and Minnie Pearl (Smith) Rader who preceded her in death.

Jean was a faithful and trusting servant of Jesus Christ. She was a genuine lover of life and was generous with the kindness she showed to others. She never met a stranger and would talk to anyone.

Dorcas Jean Rader Hamblin Loezius, 80, of Plant City, Florida, was called home to be with her Lord, Sunday, March 22, 2015 after a brief illness.

Jean was born August 16, 1934 in Bedford County, the daughter of William Henry Rader and Minnie Pearl (Smith) Rader who preceded her in death.

Jean was a faithful and trusting servant of Jesus Christ. She was a genuine lover of life and was generous with the kindness she showed to others. She never met a stranger and would talk to anyone.

Jean was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and a great-great grandmother.

She loved the old movies and westerns. She loved The Lone Ranger, Gene Autry, and Roy Rogers. Her favorite man, was the Man in Black, Johnny Cash. Her eyes would light up and she'd clap and sing along with him. She loved the genealogy of her family, to sew, crochet, loved her plants, flowers, and especially the junk stores.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Harold Loezius; a son, David Wayne (DW) Hamblin; a granddaughter, Evelyn Jean Hamblin; three brothers, William Richard Rader, Walter James Rader, and Herman Otey Rader; and one sister, Mary Pearl Durham.

She is survived by two sisters, Minnie Elizabeth Stampone and Margaret Virginia Frost (Leon); two daughters, Donna Rebecca McClamma (Mitchell) and Mary Jean Renigar; one son, Norman (Buddy) Hamblin; twelve grandchildren, David E. Hamblin (Nina), Michael W. Hamblin (Michelle), Michelle L. Michnoff (Chris), Sara McClamma, Jesse McClamma, Lauren N. Boyd, Christopher M. Renigar, Nicholas R. Renigar, Melissa N. Hamblin, Clinton R. Hamblin, Jenna N. Hamblin, and Ciera L. Hamblin; 13 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and three very special daughters-in-law, Wanda Hamblin, Evelyn Neely, and Roberta Hamblin.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Whitten Monelison Chapel in Lynchburg, Virginia with Pastor Larry Fitzgerald officiating. Interment will follow at Jonesboro Baptist Church Cemetery in Roseland, Virginia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service starting at 1 pm.
